Portable High Chair Review

When I first heard about a portable high chair, I assumed that it was just a regular wooden chair, except that maybe the legs folded up on it. That would make it very portable for most people, but whoever came up with this idea has actually created something a little more sophisticated and a lot more portable.

A very popular type is the hook chair. Obviously your child is going to be eating at the table and if your child is using a high chair than they probably don’t weigh that much. This means that you can take advantage of the actual table. The hook chair is where it hooks directly onto the table and provides the support that way. It sounds a little odd, but it works quite well. You can see what I mean by the picture listed below.

I gave the first picture to give you an eyes view of what it is like for a baby to be in a portable high chair. You don’t really get a view of what is actually supporting the child from the first picture, so I included the second picture. As you can see it hooks in under the table and helps to support the child as he or she eats.

There are completely other alternatives that you can use from the picture above. I know there are a lot of parents that might not like the hook idea. Even though will hold up your child, you’ll still feel uneasy about nothing being under them to provide support. Another alternative is simply take advantage of a chair. A high chair, is just a regular chair that is high so smaller children can eat properly at a table. Kaboost offers a product known as chair boost. You just put a regular chair on the device and it raises it up for your child. It’s something incredibly simple and portable for everyday use.

There is also the travel high chair that might be a little more practical for those that are traveling and need as much space as possible. I’m sure you’ve seen those beach chairs that fold up into a tube like bag. You can get the same type of product, except designed as a portable high chair. You might think it is that practical, but does work quite well when you’re traveling and defintely gets the job done (which is what you should be looking for).
